My professional career began in 1969 with the Drug Enforcement Administration where I enjoyed the days of "pre-computer" illustration. This naturally lead me to exploring drawing media. I discovered colored pencil and mylar. At that time I had many difficulties entering competitions because colored pencil was not considered serious.
After 30 years of finding out what pencil could do, I dove into oil paint and found that ala prima was the "ride" I was looking for.
But like all rides, this one ended too and I find myself back working in pencil. Only this time I'm looking for the unexpected, the macro image, the imagined color.
